Service 01 · Website Copywriting

Website copy written page by page, for the site you’re actually building

Full-site copy grounded in customer interviews, structured for scanning, mapped for search and handed over with wireframe notes your designer can build from.

From NZ$2,400

At a glance

  • Timeline: 4–6 weeks
  • Your time: 3–4 hours
  • Revisions: two full rounds included
  • Billing: fixed fee, never hourly

Typical full site (5–6 pages): NZ$4,200. Single landing page: NZ$1,100.

This is for you if

  • You’re building or rebuilding a site and want the words settled before the design locks
  • Your current copy was written by you, at midnight, in a hurry, in 2021
  • You get traffic but the enquiries don’t match the volume
  • You’ve outgrown the positioning your site still describes

It’s not for you if

  • You want 500 words by Friday with no research phase
  • You need copy that manufactures urgency to make the sale
  • The design is finished, approved, and the copy must fit exactly 42 characters
  • Nobody in the business can approve a decision about positioning

Questions

Website Copywriting FAQ

That figure covers two pages with full research — usually a homepage and one service page. A typical five-to-six page site lands around NZ$4,200. The research phase is the same regardless of page count, which is why the first two pages carry proportionally more of the cost and each additional page is comparatively cheap.

All of them, and the platform genuinely doesn’t change my process. Copy is delivered in a shared Google Doc laid out in page order with section headers, so whoever is building can copy blocks straight across. If your developer prefers a structured format — a CMS-ready sheet, for example — just say so at kick-off.

Then we scope down rather than rush the research. A homepage plus one service page, fully researched, can be done in three weeks. What I won’t do is compress the interview phase, because it’s the part that makes the difference between copy that sounds right and copy that works.

No — I write, and I’m better for you as a specialist. I’ll happily recommend designers and developers I’ve worked well with in NZ, Australia and the UK, and I stay reachable throughout your build at no extra cost.

You do, outright, from the moment the final invoice is paid. No licensing, no attribution requirement, no restriction on reusing it in decks, ads or print.
