Service 02 · Website Copy Audit

Find out exactly why your website isn’t converting

A forensic read of your live site — messaging, structure, proof, search and conversion friction — delivered as a prioritised fix list you can action yourself, this week.

From NZ$690

At a glance

  • Timeline: 5 business days
  • Your time: 30 minutes
  • Revisions: two full rounds included
  • Billing: fixed fee, never hourly

Up to 6 pages. Larger sites quoted after a quick look. Fee credited in full against a website project booked within 60 days.

This is for you if

  • The site is live, the traffic is fine, the enquiries are not
  • You suspect the copy is the problem but can’t point at the sentence
  • You’re about to commission a redesign and want to know what to brief
  • You want a second opinion before spending five figures on a rebuild

It’s not for you if

  • The site isn’t built yet — there’s nothing to audit
  • You want technical SEO: site speed, redirects, schema implementation
  • You’re looking for validation rather than findings
  • You have no capacity to action anything for the next six months

Not sure which column you’re in? Ask me on a free call — I’ll tell you honestly.

What you get

No add-on pricing halfway through. This is the whole list.

18-point copy audit

Every page scored against clarity, structure, proof, search and conversion — with the evidence, not just the verdict.

Prioritised fix list

Ranked by impact against effort, so the hour you have on Thursday goes to the change that matters most.

Rewritten homepage hero

Headline, sub-headline, CTA and risk reducer, written for you and ready to paste in.

Analytics read

Where people stop scrolling, which pages leak, and what your top entry pages are actually promising.

45-minute walkthrough

A recorded call where I talk you through the findings and answer ‘but what about…’ properly.

Objection gap analysis

The doubts your site never answers, and where each answer needs to sit.

How it runs

Four stages, and you always know which one we’re in

Every stage ends with something you can read, not a status update.

Stage one

Free fit call

Thirty minutes on your goals, your customers and whether this is the right service for the problem. You get a fixed-fee proposal within 48 hours.

Interviews, mining, analytics and competitor work. You get the research brief before any writing starts, so nothing is a surprise later.

Stage three

Draft & revise

Written work in a shared doc, then two full revision rounds. I explain the reasoning behind anything you want to change.

Stage four

Handover & check-in

Final files, a handover call with whoever is implementing, and a check-in 30 days later to see what the numbers did.

Questions

Website Copy Audit FAQ

A free review is a sales call with a slide deck. This is five business days of actual work: I read every page against eighteen criteria, pull your analytics, mine your reviews and competitors, and write findings with evidence attached. You get a document you could hand to any writer — including one who isn’t me.

That’s the design intent, and roughly half of audit clients do exactly that. The fix list is written for a non-writer to action: each item says what to change, why, and roughly how long it takes. If you’d rather I did it, the audit fee comes off a full project booked within 60 days.

Your URL, read access to your analytics, and a five-minute note on who your best customer is and what you wish the site did. That’s the whole thirty minutes.

Yes — that’s what you’re paying for. If your positioning is the problem rather than your paragraphs, the audit will say so, and it will say so early enough to save you from rewriting the wrong thing.

Yes. A single landing page audit is NZ$390 and turns around in two business days. Email sequences are audited at NZ$490 for up to eight emails.
